I was perusing around Urban Outfitters the other day and I found these kitschy doily placemats.
I guess you can make it super granny.... ;)
Or keep the doilies to a minimal....

*New* Painting
I must confess it was literally love at first sight when I spotted this certain painting hung high above in a barn yard attic at the Aberfoyle Antiques Market....
I had to return to get it, as the owner of the store told me what an ordeal it was to get this painting down. It has been untouched for almost 40 yrs.
It was such a big piece that it barely fit in the back of SJ's Nissan SUV:
As you can see here, it is sitting at the base of the wall that it will be hung on....errr as soon as I can get someone over to help me hang it..... ;P
I love the distressed details:

A "Cross Processed" Antiques Sunday
Last weekend, I went back to the lovely Aberfoyle Antiques Market and to the Freelton Antiques Market. Feeling the need for creative inspiration, I brought multiple cameras with me.
Here are the results from my trusty 35 mm Olympus XA2, coupled with expired Kodak Elite Chrome. The nice thing about using film is the unexpected result of each individual picture.
Stay tuned for a Polaroid edition of Antiques Sunday! ;D

The Selby
A while back, SJ and I went and met Todd Selby when he was in town promoting his book. His book features a glimpse into unique yet authentic spaces.
Took some bad BW shots of him, but oh well! I must confess, I still prefer the grainy bad film shots than my digital shots. :P
