This Long Weekend...

...was not only spent sleeping in, but catching up painting things for the store....

...indulging in linguine alle vongole....
 

...snuggling lots with Fig Newton....

 ...and being thankful to have the time to do all of that!

A Day of Leisure

Sometimes, good friends move away, or have other life changing events, and it makes you cherish the time spent with them even more.  This was one of those days where I had the opportunity to do just that.

It started out with the perfect breakfast at Sam James (which, in my opinion, is still the best coffee in the city)...

...then making a new friend before leaving...

...and catching up at SJ's with baby Stella, Max and Cloudy (Cloudfoot - my little peg-legged polydactyl "boyfriend")...

It's Hot Outside

When it feels like 41°C outside, all I want to do is to sit in the shade and have an ice cold treat.

Yum = Blueberry Basil and Roasted Almond gelato from Soma....

I'm taking a day off from my "day job" tomorrow (today?) to spend time with some good friends, perhaps paint (umm...my 2nd job), and hopefully have more ice cream! ;D

They have traveled a long way from the most northern part of Norway.

Sweet (Søt) loves guompa and cloudberries, Salty (Salt) fancies lutefisk and varmrøkt rein, Sour (Sur) prefers pickled herring and lingonberries, and Bitter (Bitter) only wants radishes.

Once properly outfitted, they are ready for reindeer herding!
