Who would have thought that scrambled eggs and toast could be this good?! (I certainly didn't!) I also tried the steamed milk custard which was slightly too rich for one person to indulge, especially after a large lunch. However, be warned that you will get yelled at if you don't queue up properly outside, or be ignored if you don't order fast enough. I thought this was all pretty humorous as it's all part of the experience. :P
So, if you're ever visiting Hong Kong, I do recommend a visit here, as this place is an institution. ;)
I think I would go for that milk custard: I am a sweets person, it definitely cannot be too much for me :-P
ReplyDeletePolly: Heehee, I should've been smarter and saved room for the sweet stuff! ;D
ReplyDeleteYES!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! wish I got to go several times! lucky you!
ReplyDeleteCeline: Heeheee...the bread there is to die for! :O
ReplyDeleteDid you ever get your baked sago with lotus before you left? I *love* the steamed egg custard. It's like an egg tart without the flakey part. (:
ReplyDeleteJoyce: I did, but with taro paste....and lots of other ammmazing desserts....which I now miss....
ReplyDeleteWish I had the egg custard instead of the milk one.... :P
