Bird Market - Kowloon, Hong Kong

Back from a whirlwind vacation from Hong Kong with the worst jetlag! :P
The last time I saw Hong Kong was 20 yrs ago, and I am pleased to see that the city has retained much of it's character, even though most parts have been taken over by modern high rises with blinking billboards and swanky shopping malls.

One of the places that feels untouched is the bird market on Yuen Po street in Kowloon...

I did not get a chance to see it, but was told that you can watch owners feed the birds crickets with chopsticks. Mmmmm...mmmm.... :P

Elisabeth/www.finelittleday.com: Hmmm...it depends on what you're looking for. It is a great place to eat and shop, and it's easy to get around....but be prepared for the crowds and lining up for things (especially to use the loo :P). :)

  5. I was in HK ca 10 years ago. I remember loving the bird market, as well as the flower and fish markets.
